All the fine print…

A successful party is when everyone had a great time… even the hostess!  A party is “a social gathering  to which people are invited in order to enjoy themselves and often celebrate something.”

I planned my first party when I was 15 years old.  I have entertained on the living room floor.  I have attended a Presidential Inauguration and Ball.  I have entertained over 200 people in my home at one party.  People tell me I am very good at hosting parties.  They also want me to decorate their homes.

I don’t enjoy cooking every night, but I love good food.  I don’t enjoy cleaning. I do enjoy people.  I don’t home school.  I no longer have pets.  I enjoy photography but I’m not a professional.  I mostly travel to visit family.  I don’t play tennis anymore. I am not a wine sommelier, but I do enjoy a good glass of wine.  I do own a crockpot well, actually 2 plus a roaster.  I don’t have children living at home.  I do have 10 grandchildren.  I don’t like working the garden, but I do enjoy a neat and tidy yard. I can’t quote scripture but I have read the “Bible in 90 Days”.  I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior but I am still praying and asking for forgiveness.  I try to be on time but that generally doesn’t happen too many times.  I have very tolerant friends.  I’m old fashioned in some ways and very with it in others.  I do enjoy decorating but I don’t like off the rack decorating.  I like to do things a little “off” and not too centered.  I like to watch a few sports, but don’t have any sports heroes.  I enjoy most types of music.  I enjoy quiet time.  I am overweight but on the other hand very healthy.  I am into the second half of my life.  Two things that you don’t mess with are my hair appointments and my nail appointments.  I have been happily (most of the time) married to the same guy for a long time.

So what do I really truly enjoy… people, all types of people, a good party and entertaining  I so enjoy the fellowship of other people.  I love the gathering of people.  I love smiles and happiness.  I like to make people feel good about themselves.  I like to visit, eat, and drink… I like to entertain and I am good.

I am planning to show you how easy it is to party and entertain on a small scale or a large scale.  We are going to keep on partying!!!  Join me and my friends on this party adventure… we shall learn and share together.

Do you have some party ideas you want to share?  Send me your party and decorating pictures, too.
